WRC Board Of Trustees & Sub-Committee

The WRC Board of Trustees and Sub-Committees, formed in September 2025, provide structured governance and operational oversight to the Workers Resource Center. Following the formation of the new Board, five key sub-committees were established: Sustainability, Project Implementation, Procurement, Recruitment, and Audit. The WRC Chairman and Vice-Chairman serve as ex-officio members across all committees, ensuring coordinated leadership and strategic alignment. Each committee plays a specific role in strengthening WRC’s institutional management-overseeing long-term sustainability planning, monitoring project execution, ensuring transparent procurement, managing recruitment processes, and maintaining financial and compliance oversight through audit functions. Together, they reinforce accountability, transparency, and effective governance within the organization.

WRC Women Committee & Constituents Representatives

The WRC Women Committee & Constituents Representatives bring together dedicated women leaders from various trade unions and federations across Bangladesh. They play an important role in advocating for women workers’ rights, addressing workplace challenges, and strengthening women’s participation in leadership and decision-making processes within the labour movement. Through coordination, awareness-building, and collective representation, this committee works to amplify women workers’ voices, promote gender equity, and ensure that women’s concerns are properly addressed in dispute resolution and policy discussions.

The WRC Youth Committee & Constituents Representatives bring together dynamic young leaders from various trade unions and federations across Bangladesh. They represent the voice of young workers, actively engaging in leadership development, awareness initiatives, and advocacy for fair working conditions within the labour movement. Through collaboration, training, and collective action, the Youth Committee works to strengthen youth participation in decision-making processes and dispute resolution efforts. Their involvement ensures that the concerns, energy, and aspirations of young workers are reflected in WRC’s broader mission of protecting rights and promoting justice.

The WRC Panel Lawyers are dedicated legal professionals who represent workers in labour courts and related legal proceedings across Bangladesh. They fight to protect workers’ rights, challenge unfair treatment, and ensure that justice is accessible to those who often lack proper legal representation. Through professional advocacy and strong legal expertise, they stand beside workers in their pursuit of fair outcomes. Working closely with WRC’s paralegal teams, the Panel Lawyers play a vital role in strengthening access to justice and upholding the dignity and rights of workers within the legal system.

Paralegal New Batch 2025

The Paralegal New Batch 2025 of WRC represents a new generation of committed frontline legal support workers dedicated to protecting the rights of workers in Bangladesh. This batch has been trained to provide primary legal guidance, assist in preparing and submitting C-Forms, support workers through labour court procedures, and help them navigate complex administrative systems. With a strong understanding of labour laws and practical case handling, they act as a bridge between workers and the justice system—making legal processes more accessible, understandable, and less intimidating. Working closely with factory workers, community members, and relevant institutions, the Paralegal New Batch 2025 is focused on strengthening access to justice at the grassroots level. Beyond case support, they raise awareness about workers’ rights, promote fair treatment, and follow up on ongoing cases to ensure accountability. Through dedication, empathy, and structured guidance, this new batch continues WRC’s mission of empowering workers and strengthening their voices across Bangladesh.

The Existing Paralegal Batch – Dispute Resolution Wing of WRC has been actively supporting workers across key industrial areas of Bangladesh, including Dhaka, Gazipur, Narayanganj, Savar, and Ashulia. With hands-on experience in handling labour disputes, mediation, and case follow-ups, this batch plays a crucial role in assisting workers through complex complaint procedures and ensuring their concerns are properly documented and addressed. Their practical field knowledge and close coordination with trade unions and federations strengthen workers’ access to justice at the grassroots level. Over time, this existing batch has built trust within worker communities by providing reliable guidance, facilitating dispute resolution, and promoting awareness of labour rights. Their continuous engagement in resolving workplace conflicts and supporting fair treatment reflects WRC’s commitment to protecting workers’ dignity and strengthening accountability within the labour justice system of Bangladesh.
